Customer-Specific Visibility

Show Every Customer the Right Part of Your Roadmap.

Manage one Feedvote board while giving each customer group a private, relevant view of your Linear roadmap. Assign access manually or automate it with issue and project labels.

Can every customer see a different roadmap?

Yes. Feedvote customer groups let you invite contacts and choose exactly which feedback, Linear issues, and Linear projects they can see. You can assign access manually or automate new access with separate label rules for issues and projects. Customers never see another group’s private items.

What you control

Controls available in Feedvote

These are working Feedvote controls, not a simplified marketing concept.

01Customer groups
Create an audience for an account, stakeholder group, partner, or client without creating a separate board for every view.
02Contact invitations
Invite existing contacts, signed-in portal visitors, or a list of email addresses to the right group.
03Manual item access
Search and assign individual feedback items, Linear issues, or Linear projects when a relationship should stay hand-picked.
04Automatic issue access
Turn on access for synced Linear issues and optionally narrow it to selected issue labels. No selected labels means all synced issues.
05Automatic project access
Control synced Linear projects separately, using project-label rules that match how your team segments roadmap work.
06Protected customer boundaries
A customer sees only the work granted to their group. Feedvote does not reveal another customer group’s private assignments.

Workflow

From a Linear Label to the Right Customer View

Visibility rules sit on top of your existing Linear organization. They do not require teams to duplicate work or invite customers into Linear.

  1. 01

    Create the Customer Group

Name the audience and invite the contacts who should share one roadmap view.

  2. 02

    Choose Manual or Automatic Access

Assign selected records directly, or enable separate automation for Linear issues and projects.

  3. 03

    Narrow Access With Labels

Choose issue or project labels when only matching synced work should enter the group’s view.

  4. 04

    Share One Controlled Portal

Contacts sign in and see only their group’s roadmap, feedback, and updates.

Common questions

Customer-Specific Visibility FAQ

Clear answers about setup, visibility, and what customers can see after you publish.

Do I need a separate Feedvote board for every customer?

No. Customer groups let one board present different sets of items to different audiences. You can still create separate boards when branding or ownership truly differs.

Can customers see each other’s roadmap items?

No. Contacts see only the items assigned to their customer group plus any work you intentionally make public.

Can visibility update from Linear labels?

Yes. Feedvote has separate automatic-access settings for synced Linear issues and projects. Selected labels narrow the match; selecting no labels means all synced records of that type.

Does turning automation off remove existing access?

No. Turning a rule off stops future automatic assignments. Existing access remains until your team reviews and removes it explicitly.
